Before You Begin
Thank you for your interest in applying for an award, scholarship, or educational grant offered by the Barbados Public Workers' Co-operative Credit Union Limited (BPWCCUL). Please read the information below carefully before proceeding.
Disclosure and Promotion of Award Recipients
By accepting an award, recipients and, where applicable, their parent or legal guardian consent to the use of the recipient's name, photograph, likeness and award details for promotional and publicity purposes.
BPWCCUL reserves the right to publish the names and achievements of award recipients through its website, social media platforms, newsletters, press releases and other promotional materials. Award recipients may also be invited to participate in interviews, presentations or other promotional activities related to the awards programme

Annual Academic Awards
Awards are available for:
- Outstanding achievement in the Barbados Secondary Schools' Entrance Examination (BSSEE/11+)
- Special Awards for children of BPWCCUL employees in the BSSEE
- Outstanding achievement in the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Examinations
- Outstanding achievement in the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE)
- Recipients of Barbados Government Exhibitions
- Recipients of Barbados Government Scholarships
Annual Scholarships
- Ralph Boyce Memorial Scholarships ? University of the West Indies (all campuses)
- H. Delisle Hurley Memorial Scholarships ? Barbados Community College (Technical, Vocational and Applied Studies)
- Verta Coppin Memorial Scholarships ? Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology (Technical and Vocational Studies)
- Overcomer Scholarships
- Sports and Arts Achievement Scholarships
- Thrift Club Teacher Champion Scholarships
General Educational Grants

Please note: Two Ralph Boyce Memorial Scholarships are awarded annually to members who have gained admission to any campus of the University of the West Indies to pursue an undergraduate degree in any discipline. These scholarships are administered by the UWI Cave Hill Campus. Applicants should contact the University directly regarding application procedures, submission requirements and deadlines.

- Each award category has its own application period.
- Opening and closing dates will be announced on www.publicworkers.bb and BPWCCUL's official social media platforms.
- Before applying, review the Awards, Scholarships and Grants - Categories & Eligibility for your selected award category to confirm your eligibility and submission requirements.
Before Starting Your Application
Please ensure that you:
- Review the eligibility requirements for your selected category.
- Have all required supporting documents ready before beginning your application (for example, transcripts, personal statements, fee schedules, book lists or invoices).
- Ensure each uploaded document is 5 MB or less and in PDF, DOC, DOCX or JPEG format.
- Submit your application online before 11:59 p.m. on the published closing date.
- Note that printed applications will not be accepted.
- Understand that once an application has been submitted, it cannot be reopened or edited.
- Email any additional supporting information before the application deadline to grantsadmin@bpwccul.bb.
